Our hourly rates range between $40 to $70, depending on the tutor’s level of expertise and qualifications. In addition, we offer flexible pricing options for those requiring financial assistance or trial sessions, making it easier to find the right tutor before committing to a long-term plan.

Elementary School (Grades K-6)

We offer tutoring for all levels of high school math in Alberta, ensuring that students receive tailored support whether they are taking foundational courses or preparing for university. The Alberta math curriculum is split into streams to meet various academic and career goals:
  • Mathematics 10C (Combined): A common starting point for students pursuing either the -1 (academic) or -2 (applied) streams. This course covers algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
  • Mathematics 10-3: Focuses on practical applications of mathematics, including measurement, geometry, and financial math, for students planning to pursue trades or technical fields.
  • Mathematics 20-1 & 30-1: For students aiming for university programs that require advanced math (such as sciences or engineering). Covers topics like functions, polynomial and rational expressions, and trigonometry.
  • Mathematics 20-2 & 30-2: Designed for students pursuing post-secondary programs that don’t require calculus. Topics include quadratic functions, probability, and statistics.
  • Mathematics 20-3 & 30-3: A continuation of Math 10-3, focusing on real-world math applications for students entering the workforce or trades.
  • Mathematics 31 (Calculus): The most advanced high school math course, preparing students for university-level calculus and other higher-level math subjects.

Our science tutoring covers the Alberta high school science curriculum, helping students deepen their understanding of scientific principles and prepare for diploma exams. We offer specialized tutoring for all science streams:
  • Science 10: A general introductory course covering biology, chemistry, physics, and ecology, setting the foundation for specialized courses in grades 11 and 12.
  • Science 14 & Science 24: For students focusing on practical applications of science, these courses emphasize real-world examples and basic scientific literacy.
  • Science 20 & Science 30: Designed for students who need science for post-secondary education but are not pursuing specialized science fields. These courses provide a broad overview of biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science.
  • Biology 20 & 30: Covers topics such as ecosystems, genetics, cellular processes, and human systems. Biology 30 prepares students for post-secondary studies in biology, health sciences, and related fields.
  • Chemistry 20 & 30: Chemistry tutoring focuses on chemical bonding, solutions, acids and bases, and thermodynamics in Chemistry 20, while Chemistry 30 includes organic chemistry, electrochemistry, and equilibrium.
  • Physics 20 & 30: For students with an interest in the physical sciences, our tutoring covers mechanics, waves, and electricity in Physics 20, with Physics 30 introducing electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, and nuclear physics.

We provide support for all levels of English Language Arts in Alberta, focusing on enhancing students’ reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. ELA courses in Alberta are divided into two streams based on students’ post-secondary and career aspirations:
  • English 10-1, 20-1, 30-1: Academic-focused courses aimed at students preparing for university. These courses emphasize literary analysis, essay writing, and critical interpretation of complex texts.
  • English 10-2, 20-2, 30-2: Applied English courses designed for students pursuing career-focused or college programs. These courses focus on practical communication skills, comprehension, and real-world application of English.

Social Studies in Alberta focuses on developing students’ understanding of history, politics, economics, and global citizenship. Our tutoring services cover all required Social Studies courses:
    • Social Studies 10-1 & 10-2: An introduction to globalization, exploring its economic, political, and cultural impacts on Canada and the world. Social 10-1 is more academic, while Social 10-2 is for students with more practical interests.
 
    • Social Studies 20-1 & 20-2: Focuses on nationalism and its influence on identity, nation-building, and international relations. Social 20-1 is for academic-focused students, while Social 20-2 is more applied.
 
  • Social Studies 30-1 & 30-2: The final high school Social Studies courses cover ideologies, governance, economics, and citizenship. Social 30-1 prepares students for university-level social sciences, while Social 30-2 is career-focused.

In addition to regular curriculum support, we also offer tutoring for students enrolled in Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) programs. These programs offer rigorous academic challenges in subjects like math, sciences, and English, and we provide specialized tutoring to help students excel in their coursework and prepare for AP and IB exams.

University-Level Tutoring

For university students, we provide specialized tutoring in first-year Calculus and Computer Science, offering guidance in complex mathematical concepts, coding, algorithm development, and problem-solving skills essential for success in higher education.

Our wide range of courses ensures that every student can find the academic support they need, whether they are just beginning their educational journey or are preparing for university and beyond.

Math 30-1 Diploma Prep

Dates will be announced after all requests have been made. Will likely be Saturday or Sunday morning for group review. Please email requests prior to January 1, 2025.

Virtually hosted group prep session that will prepare students to write the diploma. We will work through each unit through diploma style questions, and go through tips and tricks to prepare students to do well.

At the end of the prep sessions there will be an option to write a mock exam that will be marked and assessed for an additional fee. Feedback for improvement will be provided. One on one sessions can be booked for followup to target areas of improvement.
