Math 30-1 Diploma Prep
Dates will be announced after all requests have been made. Will likely be Saturday or Sunday morning for group review. Please email requests prior to January 1, 2025.
Virtually hosted group prep session that will prepare students to write the diploma. We will work through each unit through diploma style questions, and go through tips and tricks to prepare students to do well.
At the end of the prep sessions there will be an option to write a mock exam that will be marked and assessed for an additional fee. Feedback for improvement will be provided. One on one sessions can be booked for followup to target areas of improvement.

Evelyn is a former graduate and is attending University in the fall after taking a gap year. She excelled in high school Math, Science, English, and Social Studies, and enjoys the challenge of expanding her knowledge within and outside of these subjects. As well, Evelyn is passionate about helping students work toward their academic goals in a way that is approachable and entertaining. She is also currently volunteering at the Calgary Bridge Foundation for Youth as a tutor, which has given her insight into the many ways students from all over the world learn and grow throughout their educational journey.
Outside of the classroom, Evelyn enjoys her long time passions of playing piano, drawing and traveling. As well, she is a board game enthusiast. She hopes to bring this same level of excitement and creativity into her tutoring sessions, as she believes that education should be an enjoyable and rewarding experience for all students.

Tanishka is a grade 12 student attending Renert School, planning to pursue health sciences in university. She is passionate about math and science, and specializes in Math, Chemistry, and Biology, taken all to at least the 30 level. In her grade 12 year, she is currently pursuing AP Calculus BC and AP Biology due to her interest in stem related courses. She has demonstrated academic excellence in all STEM related areas.
Tanishka has over three years of experience as a chess instructor, showcasing her passion in helping students excel in their learning journey. She is dedicated to providing personalized learning to meet the needs of each individual. Recognizing that every learner is different, Tanishka will use different ways to teach concepts in order to build a strong foundation. Clayton is currently a student at the University of Calgary working towards a BSc in Biological Sciences. He is currently a senior daycamp leader at Butterfield Acres Petting Farm. He enjoys science and math, with a very enthusiastic approach to learning and teaching. Blessy is a BSc/BEd graduate from the University of Calgary. She started her teaching journey as a volunteer tutor and is now working with the CBE. Qaiyam is a first-year university student in the Bioinformatics program at the University of Calgary, planning to specialize further in computational biology. Qaiyam is an enthusiastic math and science tutor who loves working with students to help them unlock their potential. Shraavni is a third-year Biological Sciences student with a strong foundation in Math, Science, and English. She is passionate about making learning approachable and helping students feel confident in subjects that can sometimes feel overwhelming.
Her experience includes both academic tutoring and community-based teaching—as an English tutor, English teaching assistant, coding instructor, and dance instructor. Through these roles, she has developed a patient and adaptable teaching style, grounded in the belief that every student learns differently. She focuses on meeting students where they are and helping them grow through encouragement, structure, and support.

Reneeta
REN² Math/Science Specialist
Reneeta Lakhani is a born and raised Calgarian who has a strong passion for teaching and education. Reneeta obtained her BSc. in Biological Sciences and Applied Mathematics, along with her MSc. in Applied Mathematics and a BEd. in the Master of Teaching Program from the University of Calgary. Reneeta has held numerous teaching positions with increasing responsibility in both public organizations and private businesses, namely Sylvan Learning, Renert, and the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
As of 2009, Reneeta has been a High School math teacher in the Calgary area who recently accepted the Learning Leader role at an area school.
Reneeta has always had a keen interest in helping students succeed in mathematics and has always embraced the role of tutoring privately to help students of all levels of math achieve their academic goals. With over 25 years of successful experience and helping hundreds of students, Reneeta has taken on a new business venture to help as many students as she can prepare themselves to be all they can be in the future. Her favourite saying is “Kids just need to show up” and she would do the rest. She has a special skill in that she can quickly assess students at their current abilities and personalize lesson plans geared towards the student and map out plans for their success, with a touch of her unique teaching style.
Reneeta has experience helping students in all mathematics courses from elementary, to Senior High as well as university math courses. She has embraced the “Work from Home” mentality and has created a unique tutoring experience where she can tutor kids from around the world from the comfort of their own home.
James Clark

James Clark is currently a high school computer science teacher with over 7 years of experience teaching STEM with the Calgary Board of Education as well as over 6 years experience as a private tutor for high school and post-secondary students. He obtained an honours degree in physics through the University of Calgary as well as a master’s degree in economics from Western University before returning to Calgary to complete his education degree. James is passionate about helping students achieve their full potential and bridge the gap between pure mathematics and its applications to real world problems.

Cynthia is a student at the University of Calgary working towards degrees in Natural Sciences (BSc) and Education (BEd). Danika Yang will be a student at Queen’s University, working towards a Bachelor’s in Health Sciences with Honours. During high school, she was a partial IB certificate student who took Biology SL, Math AA HL, and French B SL, achieving 7s in Biology and predicted 7s in Math and French. Her tutoring specialities are Biology and Math, but she still excels in Chemistry, Physics, English, and Social, having taken each to the 30-1 or 30-level in high school.
Danika is committed to a lifetime of learning and loves helping others understand concepts in their own way. She is particular and specific to her approach to tutoring, bringing in connections to other subjects and alternate explanations to further understanding. Eris is a student at the University of Calgary pursuing a dual degree in Mathematics and Physics with private and volunteer tutoring experience since 2023. Cynthia Tan is a student at the University of Calgary, working towards a BSc in Neuroscience. She finished high school with both IB and Alberta High School Diplomas, excelling at all STEM-related courses. Her tutoring specialties lie in Math, Biology, and Chemistry, nonetheless, she is still open and capable of tutoring Physics, English and Social Studies, having received honours with distinction throughout all three years of high school. Hi, this is Damian, a Bachelor of Science student in Data Science at the University of Calgary with a strong background in mathematics, computer science, and data analysis. He has a passion for making complex concepts clear and approachable, and for helping others build confidence in their abilities.
Damian works as a swim instructor and is highly skilled at creating effective, engaging lessons for swimmers of all ages and abilities. He also tutors in math, science, and programming, bringing excellent communication skills, patience, and adaptability to each session. Eric is currently a high school computer science and Aboriginal Studies teacher with over seven years of private tutoring experience in English Language Arts. He holds a BSc in physics and a BA in English from the University of Calgary, in addition to a BEd with a double-major in science and English Language Arts education from the University of Lethbridge. Kai is a university student attending the University of Calgary for Psychology. They are accomplished in the Humanities, particularly with English and Social Studies. Kai is a passionate writer and is eager to assist with both editing and teaching theory within the Humanities realm. I am currently in my fourth year at the University of Lethbridge, pursuing a combined degree in Art and Education. Barleen is a university student attending the University of Calgary for the Biological Sciences. She is accomplished within Biology and the Humanities, specifically Social Studies and English. Barleen strives to learn more and more about the world around her, with interests such as Art, Archaeology, Economics, and much more. She takes these interests to the next step; as for example, in the Arts Barleen has won the In(Significant)Art Contest and had her art displayed online and in person.
