The most important thing I was looking for was connection between my son and the teacher. The teacher being able to understand and gauge what he needs and how to help him with his struggles. I have found these two pieces since my son started his math tuitions with Reneeta. The Math tuitions have been helped him transition smoothly into grade 10. He has gained the confidence he needs with a little bit of help and patience from his teacher. Having limited experience with Tutors prior to Fateeha we were not sure what to expect. Previous sessions left my daughter with little additional understanding of the Math and Science subjects in question. It was important for her to find a tutor that could and would relate to her age and knowledge level. Not only did my daughter end each session with a high level of confidence in the information covered, she almost enjoyed the sessions and teaching style of Fateeha. Great energy and infectious positivity matched with a strong ability to relay information in an easy to understand way are what make her stand out. The ability to accommodate her difficult schedule was also very appreciated, as Sessions on weekends and evenings were offered as required. I struggled especially in chemistry and couldn’t get past the 70s. After just a few sessions, Cynthia had explained everything to me in a way I understood and was able to apply to difficult questions. She prepared notes and practice problems for me and even created detailed diagrams to help me grasp concepts better! I reassessed the unit, and got a 94! Reneeta was a fantastic tutor for me this semester in Math 10C! Math has always been my weakest subject, and the transition from junior high math, to high school math was a bigger struggle than I anticipated. I struggled significantly in factoring, and couldn’t grasp the concept at all. After only 2 sessions with Reneeta, I felt fully prepared for both my final exam, and my factoring unit reassessment opportunity. I got 86% on my final exam, and 90% on my factoring reassessment! 6 years after high school, I decided I needed to upgrade my math marks before applying for school again. Math has never been my strong suit and I’ve always had a genuine fear and lack of confidence when it comes to math. Reneeta tutored my daughter in Math 30-1. Reneeta was a huge help. She explains tricky math concepts and makes them easier to understand. She took the time to review and made sure that material is understood before moving on to more challenging material. Reneeta is flexible with her scheduling and it was always easy to make time for a session, even those extra sessions during the week. It was also nice to see that she kept in contact after quizzes and tests to see how things went. I feel that Reneeta went over and above to help. Our daughter for the first time ever was struggling in math. She was about a third of the way through Math 30-2 when we decided to try a tutor. Ava was embarrassed to admit she needed a tutor. In hindsight we realized how lucky we were that we found Reneeta not a moment too soon. When Ava started working with Reneeta her grade was sitting at 61%. She had failed a unit test for the first time ever. We began scheduling sessions with Reneeta after Ava would write a quiz but before the unit final. Reneeta was then able to meet Ava where she was at and offer targeted help. She gave Ava new strategies and even a new way to use her calculator. Ava realized after the very first session that embarrassed or not, this help she was getting was going to be the difference maker between success in this class or having to re-take it next year. Ava went into her Diploma Exam feeling confident. Reneeta was flexible with her schedule. Ava would sometimes only have a few days warning before a test date was announced and was also juggling work and sport schedules. Prior to writing the Diploma Exam Ava finished with an 80%.
